Bursaries

The Foundation through partnerships with various schools in East London select disadvantaged students who urgently require assistance with the payment of school fees, uniforms and textbooks. Through this programme the Foundation aims to foster a commitment to the youth and to reassert a sense of hope for the future of these young people, who have lost faith in the possibilities that await them.

Dignity Functions

The Foundation believes that all people should be encouraged and appreciated regardless of who they or how old they are. In line with this desire the foundation has embarked on a creative program entitled ‘Dignity functions for the elderly’ where special functions are arranged with the support of our sponsors on Mothers’ Day, Women’s Day and Christmas. The elderly from all walks of life are invited and treated to a wonderful meal, gifts and a specially invited guest speaker. This is undertaken at no cost to the individuals invited. These functions serve as an acknowledgement of the importance of the role that these people play in our society. The individuals at the centre of this program are those living at old-age homes in and around various parts of East London.

Wheelchairs

This program aims to provide wheelchairs to individuals who, because of their financial circumstances would ordinarily not be in a position to be able to acquire these themselves. Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to provide people in need with a certain element of dignity as wheelchairs are means for some people to be independent despite having debilitating illness or physical handicap. The purpose of this program is to identify those with this need and to make wheelchairs available to them at no cost to the individual. The criteria for the donation of the wheelchair will be at the discretion of the Foundation.
